Quote of the Day
The Daily Imus - Imus on MSNBC - MSNBC.com: 'NEWS QUOTE OF THE DAY
Donald Trump gives Imus his opinion on New York Times reporter Judith Miller and the war in Iraq.
Donald Trump: 'You know what, it's very interesting, the New York Times threw Judith Miller, who's a third rate reporter and according to everyone I know, she's like, forget it, she's not good. But the New York Times probably got us into the war in Iraq. And by the way, they're the first ones to criticize the war in Iraq. It's classic. They sit back everyday, they criticize. Now I criticize it too. It's a terrible war and we shouldn't have been there and I've been saying that as you know very consistently. But the New York Times does nothing but criticize the war in Iraq. Judith Miller, and their lack of leadership at the New York Times got us into the war in Iraq, because she was saying all about the weapons of mass destruction, which didn't exist. So everybody said we have to stop this maniac, this mad man and I guess perhaps that country needs a mad man to run it, but you have to stop this mad man. Wait until you see the next mad man that runs? About two days after we pull out, they'll have somebody else take over that country who's gonna make Saddam Hussein look like a boy scout. You know that?''"
